The Ethisphere Institute recently named PepsiCo to its 2011 World’s Most Ethical (WME) Companies list. The designation recognizes companies that go beyond making statements about doing business ethically and translate those words into action. WME honorees demonstrate real and sustained ethical leadership within their industries, putting into real business practice the Institute’s credo of “Good. Smart. Business. Profit.”
The WME designation is awarded to companies that have leading ethics and compliance programs, particularly compared to their industry peers. PepsiCo has been recognized for the past five consecutive years. This year's list included 110 companies, including 36 new additions and 26 companies dropping off the list since 2010.
